Alexis Caillouet, DVM
Dr. Alexis Caillouet was born in New Orleans and grew up in Slidell. She graduated from Mount Carmel Academy in 2013 and obtained a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University in 2016. She graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. Dr. Caillouet joined our practice in May of 2020.
Dr. Caillouet’s love for animals of all species began at a young age. She spent most of her summers attending zoo camp and horseback riding. Her special interests include wildlife and companion exotic animal medicine. This includes caring for and educating others about avian species, reptiles, and small mammals such as rabbits, rodents, ferrets, sugar gliders and hedgehogs.
Outside of work, Dr. Caillouet enjoys spending time with family and friends, drawing, and traveling. Her pet family includes a cat named Bran and a German Shepherd named Joule.
